Alliance University is a private university established in the city of Bangalore, India, set up in 2010 by Act No. 34 of the Karnataka State, the university was established under the aegis of Alliance Business School.
Alliance University campus is located on a sprawling 'Green campus' on the Chandapura-Anekal main road, Anekal taluk of Bangalore. Alliance University is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC), New Delhi. The University is also approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), India.

Academics
Alliance University offers programs that it was already offering before becoming a university - the undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in business administration, programs for working professionals, and customized programs for the armed forces. In the recent years, new programs have been introduced through the colleges affiliated to the university.
Family feud
In June 2016 the university was closed for two weeks and semester-end exams had been postponed due to a family feud over the management of the university. The Hindu also reported that the former Chancellor, Madhukar G. Angur, had been "terminated" and his brother, Sudhir G. Angur, appointed. The university went on holidays two more time in 2016, leading to a decision by Basavaraj Rayareddy, the holder of the Higher Education Ministry portfolio in the Government of Karnataka to appoint an administrator to the institute.
As of September 2017 the dispute appears to be ongoing. There are two websites, both of which are trying to enroll students.
The first; alliance.edu.in names Prof. Sudhir G. Angur as chancellor and Dr. Pavana Dibbur as vice chancellor, and includes a "public notice" stating:-
"This is to inform the general public that the official website of Alliance University is www.alliance.edu.in
Some Miscreants have created fake websites with a criminal intent of cheating the students and public at large by falsely claiming them to be the websites of Alliance University. Students/vendors/general public are hereby informed not to interact with the fake and fraudulent websites for admission or for fee payment or for any other purpose concerning the academy of Alliance University, ... "
The second; allianceuniversity.edu.in names Dr. Madhukar G. Angur as chancellor and Dr. B K Ravindra, as vice chancellor. This website warns
"Any outstanding payments/fees should be made only at the Central Campus. Payments done outside the campus will not be recognized."
