Annual and Major Events
Panel Discussion and Symposium
Regularly IBS-students organise a panel discussion/symposium on current topics in business, economics, politics and culture. The event is an opportunity for students, businessmen and politicians to network.
Graduation Ceremony
Graduation at German universities has traditionally been rather informal and of minor importance. The IBS, however, follows the tradition of their British partners in Sunderland and Surrey. The annual graduation ceremony peaks in a convocation in which students (wearing academic dress with gown and mortarboard) receive their degree certificates. At the same time there is an increasing trend that reintroduces academic dress even to some of the old German universities.
Field Trips
During term time students have the opportunity to visit a number of companies. Past field trips have been to: RTL Television, QVC, Bertelsmann, Datev, Adidas, 1. FCN and Jochen Schweizer among others.
